It seems growing up many of us had a scale model of something, whether it be a toy car, train, or airplane. Now there are replicas of almost every machine man has ever created. Scale models are designed to have the exact same features as the original, just in a smaller package. Scale models have been made of the Tower of London to the Ford Mustang and everything in between.There are two different types of scale models available, one you must build yourself, the other comes pre-assembled. For the most part the most popular scale models come assembled and are taken out of the box and are played with or go immediately to the shelf for decoration. Scale models, like model rockets, come in many different skill levels and are usually determined by the amount of time and effort it requires to build.
