Model Rocket Clubs and Organizations
If you enjoy model rocketry there is a good chance you are already a member of a club dedicated to the past time. From time to time I post links to clubs that I find in my travels. They all have interesting stories and many have pictures and videos of people outside having a good time firing off model rockets. Many of these clubs and associations have members both young and old. Many announce launch events on their websites and you can sign up for notification of when these events occur.Being involved with a model rocketry club is a excellent way to learn more about your hobby. Many of the members have been flying rockets for decades and are full of great tips and tricks that can help you fly your rocket higher and faster. These rocketeers can provide insight into which rockets are best to start with and will help provide safety tips which are essential when launching rockets.
It doesn't matter if you show up to a launch with a Skill Level 2 rocket or nothing at all, all rocketry clubs are very welcoming. Walk around, ask questions and watch all types of different rockets launch into the sky. These rocket club launches can be a great way to get the kids active and off of the couch.
