Estes 2092 Mongoose Model Rocket Kit Description:
Looking for a
two-stage rocket that is sure to amaze on the launch pad? Well the
Estes Mongoose is perfect for first time fliers who want to
experiment with a two-stage rocket. A two stage rocket has two
sections of the rocket with the engines stacked or staged one on top
of the other. The lower or first stage contains a booster engine that
kicks the rocket off the launch pad, and the upper or second stage
has a standard engine inserted into it for extreme flight altitude.
The Mongoose
has been revamped with a new color scheme that is quite mind-blowing.
A gnarly purple body tube fits perfectly with the bright yellow nose
cone and fins. Lets not forget to mention the self-stick decals that
add tons of spunk to this model rocket. Since it is a Skill Level 1
rocket, building it will only take an afternoon or so.
Not sure if you
want to fly the Mongoose as a two-stage rocket? No problem, this
versatile can fly with single or two-stage rocket engines. When flown
with the booster engine the model rocket can reach an altitude of
1,800 feet. When it comes to landing a shiny 18 inch pre-assembled
parachute returns the rocket safely.
Glue, modeling tools, Estes engines and launch supplies not included -
sold separately. Recommended for ages 10 and up with adult supervision
for those under 12.
Skill Level 1 Model Rocket Kit Assembly:
Requires some painting, gluing and sanding. Features laser cut balsa fins, slotted body tubes, plastic nose cones and self-stick decals. Step-by-step instructions make building very easy. Assembly takes at least an afternoon.
