Estes Interceptor E Model Rocket Kit Description:
We've gone bigger! Estes has super-sized one of their legendary
rockets with the release of the Interceptor E. The new design has
retained many of the intergalactic cruiser look, but has added some
improved features making it one of a kind. The first major difference
is the size. This thing is much larger and is fitted with several
heavy duty, molded and laser cut parts to assure durability and
reliability. While the rocket is large it is fairly easy to build and
will always have the classic look of its smaller brother.
To make building this model rocket easier, the kit comes with many
assembly upgrades. Estes has included some new features which include
laser cut balsa fins, a highly detailed blow molded nose cone and
molded plastic engine centering rings specifically designed to handle
the power. Also included are beautifully detailed, two piece molded
wing pods, molded plastic space antennae and a incredibly detailed
plastic engine exhaust outlet. Once the painting is complete you can
finish this treasure off with two complete sheets of reproduced
waterslide decals. After all upgrades are complete this spectacular
model will make for one amazing building and flying experience.
As far as size and performance are concerned, this monster is over
3 feet (99 cm) long and flies exceptionally well on our powerful E9-4
engine. When flown on these E9-4 engines, this rocket will climb to
over 450 feet (137 m). Recovery isn't a problem when you're fitted
with a 24 inch (61 cm) preassembled nylon parachute, ensuring a safe
return for your rocket. No doubt about it, this upsized classic will

This Skill Level 3 kit requires a higher level of building skills.
Building tools, finishing supplies, and launch equipment and Estes
engines are required - sold separately. Recommended for ages 10 and up
with adult supervision for those under 12.
