Estes 2179 Guardian Model Rocket Kit Description:
This Estes
Skill Level 2 model rocket is sure to protect your airspace from any
threats. The Estes Guardian is designed after the surface-to-air
missiles of the United States built from 1954 to 1974. The
multiple-fin design is taken from the popular Nike missile system
which was used to protect many US cities. These missiles could travel
at incredible speeds and reach amazing heights, just like the
Guardian model rocket.
The Guardian stands just over 19 inches (48.3 cm) and features two body
tubes, a transition section, laser cut balsa fins, molded nose cone and
high quality self-stick decals. Altitudes over 700 feet (213 m) can be
reached when launching on standard Estes engines. A reliable recovery
is in store with its colorful 12 inch (30 cm) parachute. Protect your arsenal with its own Guardian!
The Guardian requires more skill in building and painting. Building
tools, finishing supplies, Estes engines and launch supplies also
required - sold separately. Recommended for ages 10 and up with adult
supervision for those under 12.
